Sheryl Lee Ralph - Fam Cast Member
Ralph spent three years as the lead on the hit Nickelodeon series Instant Mom opposite Tia Mowry and Michael Boatman. Concurrently, she recurred as Claudette opposite Jon Voight in Showtime's Ray Donovan. Also, she appeared in Two Broke Girls and Criminal Minds and has a recurring role on MacGyver, all on the CBS. Recent television movie credits include Hallmark's Christmas at Holly Lodge and Netflix's Step Sisters. Other television credits include Smash, It's a Living, Designing Women, The District, and Moesha, among others.
On the big screen, Ralph's credits include The Mighty Quinn with Denzel Washington, Mistress with Robert De Niro, To Sleep with Anger with Danny Glover, The Distinguished Gentleman with Eddie Murphy, and Just Getting Started with Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones, and Rene Russo. She won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in To Sleep with Anger.
Also a successful writer and director, Ralph's award-winning short film Secrets, co-starring Alfre Woodard and Robin Givens, was a finalist in the HBO Film Short Competition, Showtime's Filmmaker Award series, and BET's Filmmaking Contest, and was selected as the audience favorite at the Outfest Film Festival. Secrets was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Hollywood Film Festival, the Acapulco Film Festival, and the Urban World Film Festival. Ralph is the creator of the Jamerican Film and Music Festival.
