Arsenal interest In Lilles Renato Sanches But Face A Battle With AC Milan
According to French media, Arsenal is interested in signing Lille midfielder Renato Sanches in January.
The contract of the Portugal international expires next summer, and the Ligue 1 club is reportedly considering selling their prized asset during the winter transfer window if a reasonable offer is received. According to French outlet Le 10 Sport, the Gunners have informed Sanches’ representatives of their interest, and Lille’s hierarchy is also aware.
Thomas Partey, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, and Mohamed Elneny power Mikel Arteta. However, Wenger may add players in January. Granit Xhaka’s knee injury will keep him out until the new year, and Partey and Elneny are in the African Cup of Nations.
Arsenal reportedly wants to sign Sanches in January to improve their midfield, but they haven’t made an offer. However, the north London club will face competition for the 24-year-signature old’s from clubs across Europe’s top tiers. AC Milan has made an undisclosed offer to Lille for Sanches.
Barcelona reportedly agreed to personal terms with the player in the summer, but they couldn’t convince Lille to sell. Arsenal and Milan are reportedly the most aggressive in pursuing Sanches in January.
