The Championship outfit revealed an updated bee logo to be used from the 2017-18 season onwards.

But Twitter users were quick to criticise the design.

Bees chief executive Mark Devlin claimed there were always going to be emotional issues when changing a badge but defended the club.

He said: "It's always an emotive subject when a club decides to change something as important as its crest.

"But part of our club's philosophy has always been about moving with the times and improving as we go.
