Kate Hudson Steps Out as Dad Bill Hudson Disowns Her: Photos
Do you think she shook it off? Actress Kate Hudson hit a Taylor Swift concert in London this past Saturday, June 27, as her biological father, Bill Hudson, publicly disowned her and her brother, Oliver, in a new interview.
The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star, 36, beamed in a white eyelet romper featuring a nude underlay and lace cutouts, and sported white shades from Sunday Somewhere. Hudson brought her eldest son, Ryder, to the Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival, where the mom and son hung out with fellow A-list pals Gwyneth Paltrow and Moses.
Paltrow, 42, also shared a photo (taken by Hudson!) from a backstage meet and greet with Swift. “Thanks for giving me and my little man our best date night ever,” the Oscar winner wrote, alongside the cute snap. “#hydepark.”
Their fun British excursion comes in the wake of some big family drama for the Hudson siblings, their mom Goldie Hawn, and Kurt Russell. About a week after Oliver, 38, posted a harsh message for his dad via Instagram on Father’s Day, dubbing it “Happy Abandonment Day,” Bill spoke out to the Daily Mail in an interview published on Sunday about the claims.
“When we split up, she never had a bad word to say about me,” Bill, 65, said of Hawn, whom he claimed cheated during their marriage. “But when Kurt came on the scene, the narrative changed and I became the big, bad wolf.”
After years of estrangement, Oliver’s Father’s Day message was the defining moment for the musician. Like her brother, the Something Borrowed actress also honored Russell instead on Father’s Day. “That was like a dagger to the heart,” Bill told the paper. “If what he wanted was me out of their lives, then he’s succeeded. I don’t want to see either of my eldest children ever again. It’s over.”

Bill, who is also dad to Emily and Zachary Hudson (whom he shares with ex-wife Cindy Williams) and daughter Lalania Hudson (his child with an old girlfriend), said he wanted Kate and Oliver to even change their last names.
“They are no longer a part of my life,” the dad of five noted. “Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.”
