RHONY's Sai De Silva evicted from NYC apartment after 'failing to pay $12K in rent'
REAL Housewives of New York star Sai De Silva was evicted from her New York City apartment for failing to pay over $12,000 in back rent.
According to documents exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, the RHONY star was living in a studio apartment in a luxury building in the Kips Bay area of Manhattan when she fell behind on her rent.
Sai's troubles with the rental began back in August 2009 when there was a notice saying she was behind with a warning that proceedings would begin soon.
She eventually responded that she was delinquent due to a sublease arrangement and that she planned to pay the remainder of the outstanding debt in February of 2010 and wanted to renew the lease.
However, it appeared that by then her outstanding debt had ballooned to $12,185.60 in arrears.
The building's attorney also said she owed $1,000 in legal and marshal fees plus February rent, which was $2,008.17.

On February 17, she requested permission to "move all my possessions out of the apartment by the end of the month."
The reality star was allowed to finally retrieve her belongings from the apartment in March and the court papers noted she had thus far paid $5,5000 towards her alleged outstanding debt.
Sai has since come a long way from being booted from her studio apartment in the city.

She decorated the space with a massive soft-gold floor-to-ceiling mirror and beautiful framed images of her family.
Sai also showed off large glass doors that opened to a large balcony patio.
Sai showed off her backyard, which was covered in turf and landscaped perfectly for the summer.
