Stuart Orlando Scott was born on July 19, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois. He was one of four children of O.Ray and Jacqueline Scott. He was a famous sportscaster and an anchor on ESPN. He has done commendable work in National Basketball League(NBA) and National Football League(NFL) coverage as well as in the show 'Sportscenter'. 

Stuart graduated high school in from Richard J Reynolds High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Speech Communication from the University of North Carolina in . He worked as a news reporter and a weekend sports anchor at WPDE-TV in Florence, South Carolina from to . 

From to , he worked as a news reporter for WDAL-TV5 in Raliegh,North Carolina. He started working for WESH(NBC) in Orlando, Florida as a sports correspondent until . After he landed at ESPN-2 in , there was a big turnabout in his career. It was his catchphrases and hip-hop influences that made his reporting unique and likable. 

Scott had his own style which would be the same as fans are talking at home. Although many people did not like his style and complained, he never changed his it and ESPN stuck with him. This ended up beneficial for both of them. 

He was married to Kimberly Scott in . They had two daughters Taelor and Sydney Scott. The couple decided to get a divorce in .In , he was diagnosed with appendix cancer, but he kept on fighting and continued working on ESPN. He was awarded Jimmy V Award in for his fight against cancer. 

Scott and ESPN made a deal for an annual salary of 2 million $. His net worth at the time of his death was approximately 15 million $. After a long battle with cancer, Stuart Scott died on at Avon, Connecticut. He is buried at Raleigh Memorial Park. His influence in both NBA finals and interviews shall never be forgotten.
